Maybe we should organise them a round of golf, at the clovelly course.

I hope whackhead simpson is onto this one...

edit:submitted to Whackhead.

You are right.  We simply cannot let this one pass.

What a coincidental opportunity!

How is this for planning:

The Aussie cricket team and their partners are staying in the same hotel in Cape Town as the Blues who are playing the Stormers on Saturday.

I wonder if Davey and Mrs Warner will be taking all their meals in their room to avoid an unfortunate meeting with SBW over the breakfast buffet or in the lady's loo......

Have you never bumped into an ex chic?

Who cares

Of course I have, but then again I have never had to be restrained from attacking somebody because they referred to my partner's ex.

The issue is not Mrs Warner or SBW, they seemed to have gotten on well (albeit briefly). Davey on the other hand seems a bit sensitive.

You take it all far too seriously

well, if the 'other guy' is big enough to make you look like his personal rugby ball, then yeah, i guess all Davey has left is grind his little sensitivity axe. Clearly still a big deal for little Davey, so i hope the newlands crowd warm that little hotspot of his right up to a gloriously fiery implosion. Either he takes it in his stride, or detonates. either way, newlands will be entertaining.

given all the recent breakdowns, perhaps the reality is Steyn is just not physically capable of pushing test matches any more. Heart and mind alone can't do the job. Time to blood the future further.

+1. Steyn is a liability. He should not be anywhere near the match day selection shortlist. He can go play IPL

I think the size Mrs W is comparing may best be described as a Kiwi middle stump and Davey's bail.

I dunno.

What we did see at newlands rolled back the years. He still has the potential to be a wrecker. He bowled a lot of overs in that innings, but we luckily still won that test as were playing an extra bowler compared to now.

The fact that he's not playing this weekend means he's either been very carefully managed for the last game or is really not on schedule. He wasn't rushed back for that series, and he still broke down.

his recent record is that he breaks down in every test, BUT for a fast bowler he has been incredibly injury free up to this point. We don't really have the information, but this was the assessment after his heel injury - now 9 weeks ago.

Yeah, that (getting ready for the Australia series) is the plan. Next two weeks, nothing on my feet. Stay off my feet. After that, I'll start walking around, and in about four weeks, I'll start running and then look to start practicing again in six weeks. That's a long time. I spent a whole year out, so when someone says to me six weeks, it doesn't sound too bad," he said with a laugh.

This is the fourth major injury Steyn has suffered since late 2015. A groin problem sustained in India in November that year kept him out of three of the four Tests on that tour, and when he returned on Boxing Day 2015, he suffered the first of his two shoulder injuries. He was unable to play three of the four home Tests against England, but was fit by the time New Zealand played in South Africa in August 2016. He played both Tests before breaking a bone in his shoulder in Australia in November 2016, and was out of the game for 14 months before making a comeback against India.

ha ha, ok so this one has come up from the 2013 Ashes.  The only thing consistent is a)Australia are involved, b)the same math referee

Match referee - JEFF CROWE:

But after both pleaded not guilty, Jeff Crowe of the elite panel of ICC match referees cleared them of the charges.

"I am satisfied in respect of both players that their physical contact was not deliberate," Crowe said.

"Both players, however, could have done more to avoid each other and they have been so counselled.

"We do not condone physical contact, but recognise that on occasions such contact could be accidental."

Though Rabada maintained he did not feel any contact at the time, Jeff Crowe felt otherwise. "I found that there was contact between Rabada and Smith, and in my judgement the contact by Rabada was inappropriate, and deliberate. He had the opportunity to avoid the contact, and I could not see any evidence to support the argument that the contact was accidental," he said. "It is also disappointing that this has happened the day after the pre-match meeting I had with both teams, where the importance of respect for opponents was highlighted."

Bit concerned as to why Morris didn't play last weekend in Sunfoil series, but he did get wickets and a century in the previous round. http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8877/scorecard/1119779/warriors-vs-titans-22nd-match-sunfoil-series-2017-18/

Crowe is talking highly subjective k@k. BOTH players could have avoided it. I does Smith argue that he didn't see Rabada coming? Or he did and but just carried on cos its always the other guy that must give way?

Flip, I were Rabada after return to playing, I'd beam Smith and then ask him how he avoided that at 150kph, but missed the shoulder at 2kph.
