Coffee machine

Recommended Posts

This came through Takealot but it had the More Flavor branding on the packaging.

My options were Takealot or Takealot.... I had a credit that was sitting there since April and I needed to spend it. After complaining about the Timber Trend unit, they passed another credit... Luckily More Flavor were also vendors so I ordered from them

And being as well schooled as I was by that stage regarding most things Aeropress I was guaranteed of a good product!

Contact David @ moreflava, he is a good guy and will probably take it up at Aerobie on your behalf I am sure?

Thanks for that. I absolutely will contact him. I went to leave a customer review for the knock off from Timber Trend but the product has been pulled already...

Edit: Sent a mail to both David and Wayne

I am currently using a Mazzer Super Jolly for home use, which is overkill combined with a lot of wasted beans.

Who can recommend a good home grinder at a reasonable price?

I had a Mahlkonigg Vario, but it didn't last. Being electronic, it was too expensive to repair, hence the spare shop grinder being used at home.

Just had a call from Wayne @ More Flavour. They are aware of the fakes and they are taking action

Will send him a link to this thread as well.

Good day team!

Awesome to see that there are so many keen coffee lovers out there!

As Gregbel has rightfully said here, we are currently dealing with this issue of the counterfeit Aeropress in the market. If you go to Take a Lot's website site you will see that the unit has been pulled from the website as it was a counterfeit unit.

We were made aware of the unit about a week ago, from there we have gotten our legal team ready, and now have the full backing of Aerobie US. We have gathered a whole host of evidence and are currently talking to the Hawks. To say we take such things seriously... is an understatement.

MoreFlavour and Aerobie are committed to protecting the Aeropress brand as well as the retail and wholesale business in South Africa

Which superjolly is it? electronic or with a doser?

http://www.mazzer.com/en/electronic-grinder-dosers/super-jolly-electronic/ is the electronic one.

Doser wastes coffee for home use - but the electronic one is pretty good indeed, and there are a couple of hacks you can do to swap a doser to a funnel

oops -

Buy a Mazzer mini type A - but don't expect fast grinding - there is a reason they have a portafilter stand... you can use the SJ burrs in it - goes a bit faster, but it will never be a robur.

Otherwise wait for the new Baratza Sette 270W
