My old trainer which I've had for about 15 years started to play up so when Makro had a special on the Cycleops Mag last week knocking R500 off i decided to replace it and get their Uvex helmet/glass special at the same time. The resistance level has to be manually adjusted before cycling while my old one had remote, trade off is the Cycleops is far more quieter.

I may have wandered too close to a bike shop on Saturday, and ended up catching one of these...

POC Tectal. My trusty grey TLD A1 (as seen in the background) served me well for about 5yrs, so I think it was time I let it rest.

The POC is the odd one out on my helmet wall. I nearly went with another TLD (the A2), but at $70 (approx R650) less, the POC was the winner on the day.

One ride in and can confirm that the POC is well ventilated and comfy.

BAIE mooi !!

How close does the brake disc come to the wood ?  .... possibly put a piece of wood where the front tire rests, as a spacer to raise the wheel so the brake disc is safe ?

did I mention - VERY good looking !!
