1ml every 2nd day, a bottle has 20ml in it, so a 40 day cycle. PM me if you'd like to know how to make the top 400 at the Epic.

I like to think that I've contributed more positively than negatively to my cycling community. I help a lot of people with diets and supplementation advice (i was a personal trainer), i help people with improving their skills (i'm a really good technical rider) and i've introduced countless people to cycling and even helped them to buy a bike that suits them, from other hubbers too. So my head is held high.

According to your account of events the last time you took steroids (not the particular product you tested positive for though) was in October, that's about 5 months before the test.

How long ago did you last take the Stanozolol and based on your experience why did it stay in your system long enough to be picked up by a urine sample from more than 5 months ago?

C'mon dude, are you that nieve to think that pharmaceuticals are only to be prescribed by a doctor or found at a pharmacy....? So if the bottle store is closed on a Sunday you don't know of a shabeen or pub that'll sell you a few bottles...?

You must be one of those straight and narrow people who've never made any mistakes. There's a lot here on the hub.

As i said in my post, I admit to doing wrong and now I'll face the music. Not looking for anyones sympathy.

How about exposing the suppliers of those illegal drugs that you took? Perhaps to the anti-doping people or the Health professions Council (even the cops?).

I know it won't cure the world of this particular problem of prescription drugs bypassing the system, but it might be a start in the right direction. It's little use catching the users, if the suppliers are left scot-free.

Just asking, not trying to cause you more grief.

I'm dismayed at the amount of people who are blaming the UCI and whoever for what happened here.

Yes there was a stuff up in not notifying the athlete first, but other than that ...

WTFlip one week everyone is whining about dopers and then next week its ok because the latest + is not a pro who makes his living from the sport. Hello...that's why the pro's don't admit to it and the fun riders can admit to it.

I'm not picking on you MTBaaisikilist, just wondering on the selective ethics involved here by some.

I somehow don't think those people would take too kindly to having a whistle blown on them…

I get a feeling he might want to move on.

Also the drug he used will probably used more amongst the bodybuilding fraternity I would assume.

We have to start getting to them somehow if we want to solve the problem.

Yea also the way I see it, not a typical endurance steroid...more a "sun's out, guns out" thing.

I'd be very interested to know how many of us here (excluding those racing) have ever been tested at an event they were participating in as a fun ride....

Anyone?

I'm not holdin my breath but maybe I'll be surprised....

I got tested and a funride, Rooiwal, in Pta once. Must have been a total of 50 riders doing the ride?

Was quite funny......

No doubt...some big bully boys might pop in for a visit...but think back to the recent david George positive, people criticized him for not revealing his sources. Saw a post somewhere where someone quite rightly said something about not nipping the bud but cutting off the branch...makes sense

In hindsight tho, drugs are widely available it would be like the preverbal fart in a thunderstorm

Stanazolol, is a long word to type, Lets call it Winstrol.

I can't pin point the exact date, but the Winstrol i took was probably in about August.

We can say 'based on my experience', but i've never had any blood work done, so i dont know how long any Winstrol I've ever taken (in the many years and occasions i took it) lasted in my system. Each person's body is different, so the rate of absorbtion and time it stays in ones system can vary.

I hate to bring his name in because I quite like the guy, but Owen Hannie was caught with winstrol, and he took it 5 months before he was tested.

Interesting.

Anyone know what the bit in bold means?

It is presented most commonly as a 50 mg/mL injection or a 5 mg tablet. However, recently 100 mg/mL versions have become available. A common dosage can be 10–25 mg/day orally and 25–50 mg daily injected, with optimal results usually seen at 50 mg/day. It is reduced to micrometer particles in aqueous suspension and does not have a typical elimination half-life. Authentic stanozolol can easily be seen, because it will separate in its container if left undisturbed for a number of hours (the micronized crystal will fall to the bottom, and the watersuspension will rise to the top).[citation needed] It has a white, milky color.

I used buy my stuff from a good mate of mine. Not giving him over to anyone. But you can buy Roids online, same as you buy parts from CRC...

I think we feel like we feel because we have a body builder here who decided to ride his bike more often and come clean, which he should receive a medal for.

We pick on the UCI because of the unprofessional way this situation has been handled by them.

I don't care what their findings are, I care how they treated this.

Barry will come a hero out of this, even if they ban him... his story is a good read.
