Elite Bunch canned at 10km to go.

White line rule...cant be serious as there was hardly any wind really, I mean guttering wasn't really a killer option

If you race 80 guys in last 10 km, with only one lane and no shoulder the guys are going to cross the white line. All the other bunches crossed the line. What's the use of bike marshalls with warning cards if its not being used.

Ridiculous ....surely rolling road closure for the elites is the way to go

Guess the commisaire wanted to get home early. No warning at all.

21. Penalties and disqualifications procedures

Immediate disqualification will be applicable for the following transgressions:

i. Crossing the centre line (commissaires to apply some discretion)

The worst is the back half is the offenders. The comms should be using the motorbikes to DQ the riders crossing the line. Anyways guess we are in for a few more DQ races.

Cant wait for the Light to Linea races to start.

I reckon the call was made in the final 45 mins of racing?

Those blind rises on the Philadelphia road does make crossing the 'white wall' very dangerous.

The area is also renowned for industrial traffic like tractors and trucks.

We had 2 traffic cop cars ahead of us and 2 motorbikes next to us.Would have been easy for the cops to pull the cars off up front, for the 20 sec it takes us to pass. This is farmlands, not in between houses.

Second price would be for the comm to find a way to DQ offenders. But there lies the problem, the comms do not know how to do this. Half the bunch did nothing wrong, half the bunch is in the wrong, oh well, lets DQ everybody.

What a ride guys! No crashes or mechanicals that I know of in Cat 3.

Well done to all.

Where do we check results?

Well that would make sense because they are the ones trying to get in front but are boxed in by the narrow road and the riders in front of them.

With no yellow line some of the roads are really too narrow given the size of the groups, so I'm not surprised this kind of thing happens. Same thing might happen next week on Adderley with the Tour de PPA.

Especially feels for the innocent guys caught up in this mess..

Commissaire made the same call during Boeckaert-Soenen, Jan 2013.
