my condolences to anyone in JHB that had seedlings growing.

I'm glad I only planted mine a week ago so they haven't popped up yet.

My herb seeds are up. My cucumber seeds are up. 10 days after planting.  Looking good so far although we have had terrible weather lately.

My vegies are coming on well. Idiot that I am I have been killing all the ladybug larvae. Im super excited about getting a Butch trinidad chilli plant but I will nurture that indoors as I dont want cross polinate that puppy.

Already harvested some on MOnday for supper . Got potatoes , carrot, spring onions and spinach and lotsa herbs .

I had a look yesterday and my cucumber seeds have also germinated. Very excited

 

My Green pepper bushes also have tiny little peppers on them at the moment

Enjoying this rain we are having.

My extended veggie patch is going to be much easier to dig over for the second time and break the big clods.

i need help!!! Hadeda are lunching on earthworms in my vegetable garden and they leave bloody mess in my garden. any idea on how to get rid of them (killing them is the last resort  )?

If you gonna start shooting them ,  then be careful , if they catch you big problems !! Protected species , believe it or not . Scarecrow seems to work .

I'm moving into my new house in the next few weeks which means no more potted rooftop veg garden. It's quite exciting as I've never had any pest issues on the roof. Kinda looking forward to the 'normal' veg garden vibe. My plan is to do an area the same size as a standard door, enclosed in white 40% shade net. I've read that that amount of space should be able to sustain a family of four.. how much space are you guys using?

My neighbor shot 1 that was in a tree on my property on sunday,  I think he was trying to have an afternoon nap, This guy and his wife are the biggest douchebags alive, they are rolling in cash and think they can do whatever they want. 

Then he has the cheek to tell me he doesn't own a gun.

How can I nail him for it???
