You should see the speed at which motorists jump red lights at 5am in the morning, especially regular commuters.

I fear our roads are beyond the point of no return, it will get a lot worse still...

Have you ever seen how many people treat a flashing red as a stop sign?

I think they forgot to teach that in driving school.

That will make the situation much more dangerous I think.

Come to think of it. How many drivers treat a robot that is out completely as a stop sign.

Dude, most of the people I see vaguely operating motor vehicles these days barely know what to do at an actual four way stop. Don't interrupt their facebook and bbm time with extracurricular events now.

And then there was a time when that happening was basically unheard of. Omg, omg, it's...it's OFF! whatdoido...whatdoido...whatdoido?!

These days, if you're outside of the WC, there's bound to be at least one on any average commute. :whistling:

While we wait for Cyclelab club response:

I have now on a few occasions been overtaken in my car when stopping on amber. The persons was visibly annoyed with my obedience.

I think if i was a traffic cop, they will not be able to print enough books for me to write tickets...

Edit: added details to make my post understandable

Hahahaha. True.

Don't know if I'm just more aware of it lately but it is astonishing how many robots only have one working globe these days. Usually you can work out if the light is green, yellow or red by looking at one of the others but I stopped at a 3 way intersection the other day and noticed that of not one of the green lights facing our way or the way of the people to my right were working. That was 0 of the 5 green lights visible to me were working.

I leave home at 4:30 three times a week and I stop at green lights........in my car.

On the bike I cycle to stay alive, whatever that means.

Often, I live in cuckoo land.....

it will definitely be more dangerous, especially when 2 cyclists / cars / insertvechile on intersecting routes reach the intersection at the same time....

After watching Spinnekops video of the Coca Cola truck running the red in Pretoria as well as the Pinetown truck incident, it seems we all need to start stopping at green lights.
