Carbs....there are 4 of them :-)

Hopefully no-one has fiddled too much with them, otherwise he's in for a lot of fun.....

agh please .... watched so many carb rebuilds on youtube that I am a pro now without even lifting a wrench, or was it a hammer and a chisel for working on carbs...........

I wonder why there is no SA Motorbike Festival at Kyalami this year? Months back, if not late last year, it was slated for 31 May to 2 June.

I thought the last two were rather good.

Promoter problems? Or has the market tanked?

Those smaller 4 pot 4 strokes are so sensitive on valve clearances.

I remember my FZR400 needed clearances checked and adjusted so often or it wouldn't start, run cleanly, etc.

What did that bad biy rev too?

I remember riding a CBR250 and thought it was going to explode between my legs at one point.

Mate of my had a GSXR 250, long gears, loud pipe, sounded like a F1 car coming in the distance.

This was many years ago but I think it did 15-16k rpm.

The little 250cc 4 pots are higher than that. I know the ZXR250RR does somewhere around 22k rpm.

Must baffle a traffic cop when he hears a bike doing 300kph but the radar shows 79kph......

One of those was what I had my first big motorbike crash on when I was in matric (Young and dumb.).  A braking highside at flat out in top gear.  Came over a little crest and there was an unexpected corner.

That wasn't a good day.

Over the last few days I have seen far too many motorbikes with rear lights that are not working during the dark hours of the morning / evening and a couple without working head lights too.

Managed to catch up to a bike recently and told the rider .... he had no idea.

IF you see these guys, please try and let them know as their lives are in the balance here.
