Skubarra Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Electro Quiz.jpg It has various 'pages' with things on the front and back. The only real problem is that once you figure out the combos it makes guessing answers easy, but still a nice way for kids to learn some facts. It wouldn't be too difficult to make new pages or to build your own version of it. I suppose it would be an app today My parents still have ours (they don't throw anything out...), our kids played about 5 minutes with it and then lost interest. Guess the apps on phones are far more interesting these days

Found the bottle on a Cape Point beach some time ago while hiking, picked it up, but to date I couldn't find any info on the possible age(given that I only tried googling once or twice). There is a guy at the Milnerton Fair (in Paardeneiland) who sells bottles etc. he is an expert. Should be able to shed some light.

Was a local outfit but could find nothing more. Found an old link to bidorbuy where one of the gingerbeer bottles sold for R800.

Company in the trade directories of Maitland between 1930 and 1970.The bottle is after 1962 when the silkscreen process on bottles was patented. Friend of mine who collect South African bottles, his collection is around 2500 different companys gave me the info. The most he spent on a codd (bottle with the marble in) was R3 000, in 2013.
