Hi Lee,

Firstly I would like to thank you for posting a picture of the proof of purchase as until today we were yet to receive it! Secondly, as discussed with you on the phone last week, a warranty is for factory/manufacture fault which in this case is not! I looked at the shorts myself with a staff member that gave them to me and we both agreed that it was not a warranty. The shorts were photographed and sent to our warranty dept which also agreed that this was not a warranty. In regard to our customer service... I offered you a pair at half price but you refused to accept this!

And that just turned this thread on its head!

Which goes to prove one thing: the Hub can be brutal at times, but more often than not it is fair and flushes out the bs.

 

The OP should have accepted the very decent 50% offer.

Maybe after G'd see the love there is on the hub they might follow the likes of CWC, ASG and and offer crazy specials to this exclusive, quality clientele who go nuts for a bargain! Like shooting fish in a barrel...

I have a pair of bibs that have actually worn through where my fat thigh rubs against the saddle but the rest still looks and fits like new. Proof that despite being used hard they last if treated well (I handwash all my bibs - they cost more than most of my other clothes).

Hahahaha! Maybe we should have a special! Send an old pair in and get a discount on a new pair!

I dont agree....why is this flushing out the BS, why should the OP accept the 50% offer. She paid a premium price(three times by the looks of things) and the product is falling apart after 6 months yet the cheaper brand is still going strong after the same care. If it needs to be washed with the spit of unicorns to ensure longevity well then that in itself puts me off the product.

 

Thanks for the headsup, I won't consider the brand based on her experience.

I had some issues with a Catelli bib with stitching, called Paragon, no luck, unfortunately "common sense" tells me that is is basically impossible for a manufacturer to "take your word" for how you care for your clothes.

 

If Catelli offered me a new pair and 50% discount I would have bee more than happy, unfortunately, with my newer Catelli's the problem still occur.

So 1 bad review vs about 15 good ones on this thread alone = non-consideration. Seems logical.

At that price...yes its is....not prepared to roll the dice at that price for something premium when I could get a friday afternoon made bib....Would rather just buy three cheaper ones. See I didnt make this call based on the reviews of the product but the backup service. Everyone makes a mistake now and again, maybe she got the pair that fell through the QC cracks...my decision is based on after sale backup.

 

I would expect a pair of bibs at that price to

 

A.Last as long if not longer than cheaper models

B.Have better backup service...6 months is unacceptable for bibs to fall apart.

 

The OP was within her rights to be unhappy...and I thank her for the information. :thumbup:
