Strava is fun.. and makes me work hard!! -0-!! Hahaha

Im so far away from kom so im trying to go up like sub 100 people like that hahaha

Does Strava only measure KOM quantities?

Good idea to measure total ride's effort in Watts......maybe classify this achievement as the Prince Of Effort Sustained. Nice bragging rights to have......

okay so Clearly strava isn't for everyone .. Use it , Dont Use it ...

Dont hate on the guys who do enjoy chasing segments though , Chasing and playing Fairly that is .

As far as the power stats goes , Training peaks gives all the info I need from my PM

Who really cares about strata

just enjoy your bike

To be honest, sometimes I go through phases where chasing pb's gets me out of bed in morning. Summer it is easier to just enjoy the ride.

When you finish a ride and the sun has still not risen, it's hard to just to ride.

Various ways to cheat

the obvious is to go and drive a segment, easy to spot and flag

Then digital epo, will enhance time on segments by X percentage.

Also certain IDT allow you to klap a segment and upload to strava like a real ride.

Funniest I've heard was of people throwing devices to finish quicker or tossing it up in the air continuously to gain altitude.

I do this but it is usually attached to my bike.

Wonder if it will work if you put it on your helmet. Put on some heavy metal tunes and headbang . lol

I just use strava to gradually push myself on hills etc. personal interests only.

Yes, the hagendorn circuit we did online awhile ago...I Time trailed it for real a few weeks before doing it online for the sole purpose of comparing the 2

Online was 39 minutes compared to 45 minutes for real...tbh the online effort was more because it was a "race" while the TT was on my own. Online imo is definetly easier if the course does not have a lot of down hill.
