You haven't pushed a bike up a large incline with varying terrain, have you?

I have pushed my bike up sections of sanis pass...does that count?

AB vs. Wolftooth vs. Rotor Q-Rings?

Q-Rings - Smooth shifting and the oval ratio is approx. + and - three teeth on either 39 or 53 Chainrings. I have run them for over 12 years and would never go back!

Depending on where I race , I change between 34/36/39 T and 50/52/53 T without any problem!

Anyone fitted a absolute black to a Scalpel. Just want to find out what offset ring was used

Don't own a Scalpel yet, but also interested to know.

If you have BB30 then 0mm offset should work

got 32 t oval from rapide on friday and tested it out a hakahana on saturday , pedaling was not easier but much more smooth and more traction.....unfortunately I went OTB in a rockgarden and had nurse myself back to the start

Nice Myles . I am running a 32t Kalbo and have never had any issues with it . Not one dropped chain running a non clutched XT derailleur

Unfortunately my virtually new (less than 800km) round ring (Sram X-Sync Narrow/Wide) is only a 28t, will try the 30t Oval first.

OK finally got in a proper ride with my 'test' 34 Rapide OVL NW at Thaba trails which has pretty much everything that could test a mountain bike. I have ridden hundreds, yes hundreds, of laps round there and for the last few months they have been on my training bike which has a Rapide 32 round NW on.

Caveat - I am not an engineer or pro cyclist that can feel the difference in 1 or 2 clicks of suspension settings like our resident hub gurus so take it from whence it comes I guess. What I do know is how my legs feel (or hurt rather). I love riding a bike and specifically trying out 'new' things so hope that helps [emoji41]

It didn't feel weird or strange at all right from the start unlike my previous experience with Rotor rings both MTB and road TT.

What I noticed was that on the climbs I felt that I was able to pedal more smoothly and hence felt like it was easier, on the flats and downs I was able to pedal faster before I got that rocking hips feeling (didn't some rockstar say 'the hips don't lie?'.

Most noticeable thing for me was that on loose climbs I definitely had better traction and was able to ride a short climb that had me getting off and klapping a toon just this passed Sunday on my round 32 [emoji3]

I did not get that 'it's a 36 when you on the flat and a 32 when you're climbing feeling' that some alluded to but for sure noticed sufficient benefit that I will keep it on and have already asked Wayne (Kiwi) to send me the bill!

When my legs are lekker rested again some time I will go klap a lap round Thaba and check what Strava says .....
