ChrisF Posted November 26, 2019 Share Okayyyyy .... So may I ask the one question everybody is thinking .... IF that paint and pinstriping was done by Bogus ... HOW did he inspect and deliver such work ? CLEARLY it is not up the standard of work that the rest of this thread shows. A top quality painter dont need a client to point out such details .... splat Posted November 26, 2019 Share Hmmm... my dad and i both both a little disappointed in his work on his Look 595.the new paint lines seem shakey and not one clean line.not sure its as good as it could be, but i suppose it is what it is. maybe i'm to much of a perfectionist.i will post a few pictures to show what i mean Have you discussed this with Anton ?What does he say about it? (Before you openly flame him here on a Friday...) easy guys. I have not flamed him.I have only stated the end result was not as good as i was expecting based on so many other reviews. I do not think Anton would have shipped the bike out if he was not happy with his work. Redoing the bike would not be a issue as i have always said that if someone has an issue they can contact me at any time. I have never shyed away fram that and never would. In this instance I have never been contacted or told that there is any form of unhappines or that the client is unsatisfied other than these photos posted on open forum more than 2months down the line. If you are unhappy speak to me directly and give me the opportunity to rectify whatever you are unhappy with. But to go about it this way,Im sorry this is not the way to do things. Im sure you would feel the same if someone did the same with one of your surfboards not true? Patchelicious

I do not think Anton would have shipped the bike out if he was not happy with his work. If you didn't reach the service provider with your concerns and questions and reach a social media platform first instead, you would be found guilty in the court of 'good relations', Furbz. No one is perfect.A service provider that is open to queries and willing to rectify sub-standard service is perfect. Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted November 26, 2019 Share i am very surprised that these decals are drawn by hand. I always thought they are all stickers ??? Anton is one of the few that will do hand painted decals, and normally at a far greater standard than that I can assure you. Some do use cut vinyl to do decals as well, though. Depends on the provider.
Kranswurm Posted November 26, 2019 Share That wasn't for free AAAANNNND that person DID in fact send many mails to that person in private, before it came to the hub. Think that person even acknowledged as much. Lets not compare grapes and watermelons That was shocking workmanship

BogusOne Posted November 26, 2019 Share Don't accept that, this was his work and as such should have been up to standard first time. To send out work of that poor quality is shocking!Yeah even one of the photos i sent to the client looks shocking i must say. It seems there are way too many people here that has never had a bad or off day that can not make a mistake and is just perfect in everything they do hey. I say again, the client never made contact with me stating any form of unhappiness or anything and if he would have done so I would have gladly sorted out whatever he was unhappy about, no questions whatsoever as that is just how i am. But to get this two months down the line on an open forum basicly dragging me through the mud without giving me a fair chance to rectify whatever he is unhappy about says a hell of a lot and NOT about me my friend. SO thank you for your comment yeah. Thanks and happy Hubbing Rowl, Peddle pusher, Danger Dassie and 2 others
Knersboy Posted November 26, 2019 Share Weird coincidence, was just showing off my old steel frame that Bogus rejuvenated for me on another thread, it is still going strong and looking beautiful Anton. Thanks and happy Hubbing IMG_20190910_122340.jpgUnderstood and if you read one of my earlier posts i said i did not know all the facts or the brief of what was required, so commented on what i saw of the pic of those decals. Your work is all about the quality of the detail. I agree that this should have been taken up directly with you so that can be resolved and if need be fixed. The reason for not doing so may also be many. Perhaps we will know, perhaps not. I also understand your response, we all have off days and our reputation is only as good as our last job. So as i said, if you were happy with what was done. So be it. nonky
