shaper Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 So will be Easter weekend in the wine routes rather than running oceans! Frail. "Will forever remain "Frail", Chris_, Lexx and 2 others 5
Lexx Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 With 2oceans cancelled I dont have much hope for Comrades. Will do my Skyrun entry this week, cant let this fitness go to waste. Dont think anyone would be to bothered about a race somewhere in the mountains.Yip, trail running will be the safest for now
GrantMcD1 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Very disappointing to see TOM cancelled as I’ve been training for this for a while but an understandable decision giving the circumstances. I can only hope Comrades doesn’t go the same way.
b-rad Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 If Comrades goes the same way I will still run it. Frail. "Will forever remain "Frail", GrantMcD1 and Vetplant 3
GrantMcD1 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 If Comrades goes the same way I will still run it.I will be doing the same since my non-refundable “comrades special” hotel accommodation is already booked. Frail. "Will forever remain "Frail" 1

Stretch Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Why would you put yourself through that for zero recognition? No medal, no official finish.. No thanks GrantMcD1 1

Roguemeister Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 On another note, I see a few complaints about deloittes today, front makes and females wrongly directed on the 21km, lack of water... Did anyone do it that can provide any more details?
b-rad Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 On another note, I see a few complaints about deloittes today, front makes and females wrongly directed on the 21km, lack of water... Did anyone do it that can provide any more details?Lack of water again?Saw Jenna Challenor was directed the wrong way in the 21 but still won it. Chris_ 1
b-rad Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Why would you put yourself through that for zero recognition? No medal, no official finish.. No thanksAs long as someone drives along the whole route blasting chariots of fire it'll be worthwhile Chris_ and Rowl 2
Lexx Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 I think the CMA must make a decision asap. Unfortunately the number effected wont go down within 3 months. It will prob get worse before it'll get better. Andrew Steer and Pieter-za 2
dave303e Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Why would you put yourself through that for zero recognition? No medal, no official finish.. No thanks Then you need to question if you are running for the right reasons.. fanievb and Moriarty 2
Hacc Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Good luck to all of you at ODD... think it might be the last big run for quite a while, but hopefully I'm wrong You called it... Gr3mlin131, Lexx and Jaws677 3
shaper Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Then you need to question if you are running for the right reasons..Maybe it will be done as a virtual race online like what happened at bath half marathon yesterday https://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/2020-03-15/nearly-1-000-runners-boycotting-bath-half-marathon-in-wake-of-coronavirus-join-virtual-race-online/ A friend of mine ran it as a virtual yesterday as she had collected a lot for charity as felt she had an obligation to those who donated but also to avoid the mass gathering even though the race went ahead, receiving bad press in the run up to it for not cancelling it
