dave303e Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 the few crazies that are running the Race to Rhodes, started this morning, first 20km done they are cruising along nicely candz1 1
Stretch Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 Then you need to question if you are running for the right reasons..Ummm...I don't think you need to question the reason why I run thanks very much... But I'm sure as hell not gonna put my body through 90km for "fun". You run 90km for achievement... To be able to proudly say you are a comrades finisher, or work towards a green number and proudly wear that green number. Second point.. if it were cancelled...It would actually be quite irresponsible if big disparate groups of people decided to run the route, distributed for tens of miles along a very dangerous stretch of road without any road closure or police presence Jewbacca 1
Jase619 Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 You two and probably another 10000 of us.[emoji23][emoji23]Â I truly hope not. The point of the cancellation is to not get us to gather in our thousands. Like it or not, the sooner we stem the spread the sooner we can get back to our normal lives. Going to be an interesting few months ahead. ChrisF and Hacc 2

Craai Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 (edited) I think the CMA must make a decision asap. Unfortunately the number effected wont go down within 3 months. It will prob get worse before it'll get better.CMA doing themselves no favours at the moment; started the substitution process, but not responding to any queries or calls to the contact centre regarding cancellation/postponement Edited March 16, 2020 by Craai

That comrades route is definitely not 'fun'... But I run 90km or more for fun pretty often out of competition. Often alone. Not on the road, but usually there are a few road stretches linking mountains or peaks. I even do it when I'm not training for anything. I find it really fun and therapeutic. Stretch 1

Hacc Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 (edited) 6 years and you're still not healed? Is she really any good at her job?!  He makes customised orthotics according to your video analysis. The orthotics last 3 years (depending on the number of kms your run). I have seen him twice in the 6 years. Edited March 16, 2020 by Hacc Jewbacca 1
