Frosty Posted May 20, 2020 Share I was passed by a runner (on Zwift - the Richmond course) and had to ride at 360W for a minute just to catch the person. Reading the comments about running +300W, I can understand why they were running so fast.
Stretch Posted May 20, 2020 Share 13:28 is what jakob ran last night for the 5km. He is a specialist 1500m and 5000m runner... Until I see the video of Murray's run i'm also going to be sceptical https://www.runnersworld.com/races-places/a32616100/henrik-jakob-ingebrigtsen-norwegian-road-5k-record/
Mudsimus Posted May 21, 2020 Share If you segment hunt, then you can create them in Garmin segments and route planner just use komoot. Agreed they just seem to be shooting themselves in the foot, by trying to force you to pay without adding any value to make it worth while.I see Strava removed the monthly running log from their free platform. Thats quite annoying. Anyone know where I can find something similar on the garmin app? My watch keeps a log, but I cant find it on the app.

They have no terrain effect, simply pace on the treadmill. Unless, of course the higher end treadmills can can cater for that. So that guy can merrily klap his top speed on the treadmill as if he was running on a flat while you're coughing up a lung on that cobbled climbs. That's the way I understand it (please correct me if I'm wrong) and why I'll not invest in getting running on Zwift. Will much rather spend the time indoors constructively on the bike than on a dreadmill with not much else than pictures in front of me. Let's Ride Posted May 21, 2020 Share So I picked up a pair of Brooks ghost 12 at sportsman's warehouse on Saturday. These were to replace my NB hierro 5s on the tar. I was pleasantly surprised by the shop assistants knowledge and he helped me get the right size, non of this half size for width nonsense! They were also on special which was a bonus! They feel great on my wide feet, and the fit is very similar to the hierros (a 2E fit) which I love. Came close to a PR on this mornings run, on very tired legs! I'm really enjoying the road running, but man, I'm missing the mountain!Ah. I run in NB 880s as I need a 2E size. Wider feet. So Brooks also have 2E? I'm new on Zwift but I have found that running is a lot more fun on a treadmill now that I have something to watch. I did my first Zwift workout yesterday and did find at one point on the route I was passing bikes which were on a 9% uphill and I was running on a 2% gradient. But then at one stage I was doing a 10% set on the treadmill and the bikes were going downhill so swings and roundabouts I guess. I think until you have a smart treadmill (if such a thing exists) then the benefit of Zwift Running will be to alleviate boredom. Having said that, the workout I did was pretty evil - 5 x 8min sets at 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% and I didn't crook so I felt it this morning! shaper, Duane_Bosch and Frosty

I did go half a size up though. My NB are 10.5 while Brooks are 11uk. Very similar fit.

Just not sure if he had a running start or not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triathlon_at_the_2016_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men%27s
