The out of town guys have my sympathy. I'm just happy that I live a nice warm up ride from the start and a nice cool down ride from the finish.

Unless you someone that gets discounted flights and accommodation and and and, if you live in joburg it's a 10k weekend. If I had to pay full price for everything I would have to think twice(luckily my flights and car hire are drastically cheaper). We have always made a whole week out of it but now with the 3 month old baby we decided that I go down alone for the weekend and then we go away somewhere closer For a week before the misses goes back to work.

I know it might have been covered here but what's the CTCT policy on E-Bikes? Not the dodgy Belgium cyclocross type but proper Ebikes like the Spez and such.

Was chatting to an old guy out training for the Argus this am on Chappies and he was cruising up the hill. He was stoked as he said he doubted he could do it this year if his son hadn't bought him an ebike for the hills. Flats and distance was fine, just the hills. He was 72 so fair play.

Unless you on the podium I doubt its an issue.

I think if you cant do it under you own power anymore  you shouldn't be doing it .

What about kiddies being pulled in trailers and that family that rides with the disabled girl every year?

This issue was raised by icycling with the PPA a while ago. They are banned. It's a funride and e-bikes go against the rules of a funride. But I'm sure there will be plenty out there on the day.

Seems like the right idea. Would be a bit scrouge to kick them out... at least for the old boy I met it means her can have a 'fun ride' after many Argus' entered.
