raptor-22 Posted February 19, 2016 Share Seems even W2w took longer to fill up this year compared to last year. Ya I guess the zupta economy is taking its toll
Long Wheel Base Posted February 19, 2016 Share Seems like it is raining entries in the classifieds this year.Iv had a buddies entry for sale for a while now and only 2 nibbles. Otherwise dead quite. eccc whippet Posted February 19, 2016 Share To give you an idea of the cost from durban with 4 people... Leave durban on Thursday...sleep over in PE for free.Friday drive through to cape town .Stay over in cape town.Friday night Sat night Sunday night Leave Monday morning Sleep over in PE Tuesday drive back to durban... Fuel +\ R 4000 including tolls etc.Accommodation R500 per night per person Plus food...R250 per dayAbsolute basics...excluding spending money and if goes well. Works out to about R4000 per person...if it is a bunch of mates each paying towards the trip... If it is a family of 4 you in for about R16000 if you rough it. I get to visit family in PE that is one perk...and enjoy the drive from PE to Cape town and back to PE

eccc whippet Posted February 19, 2016 Share I am still hoping by some miracle i get paid so that i can do the argus...but at this point in time it looks like i will be giving my ticket away or swopping for smoothies...because it seems it is worthless. And all that hype to get a ticket...last year [emoji57]
Veebee Posted February 19, 2016 Share ^^no doubt that its an expensive trip for an out of towner... I had also planned to road trip thing but changed my mind at the last minute, leaving the mates behind in Dbn. Luckily I have mates in Cpt from the days I lived there, and they riding also, so accommodation and travels is free. Flights + Bike Transport + Food + Beer Money = R6k

Rouxenator Posted February 19, 2016 Share Glad I am in Stellenbosch, but I would not do the CTCT if it cost that much, honestly it is just too much. As much as I love K2C it too has become rather pricey for me so I'm going after my goal of doing 10 and then I'll call it quits.
Boerklong Posted February 19, 2016 Share Glad I stay in Cape TownIm 150km away, but my girlfriend stays there. So I'm good with accommodation.
eccc whippet Posted February 19, 2016 Share Don't you guys eat when in Durban? Not as much as we do on road trips...at home we have a deep freeze... fridge and stove...and we eat at home. On road trips we eat out. Cant go cape town without going for fish and chips [emoji6] The cost i listed would be doing on the cheap. If you fly and hire a vehicle...that really breaks the bank Edited February 19, 2016 by isetech raptor-22
