Discovery Health - Vitality & Team Vitality plus everything else you need to know

I think I need to push my cashback (or rather the wife's) in the EFA. As I have a company fuel card (Engen), I don't get any cash back

Is there a way to enable this on the Disco site? I've been looking (not very hard), but couldn't seem to find it. I've been putting it in my own "excess account", but the benefit is larger when you do it via Discovery.

For a long time the cash back was getting paid into our account and getting absorbed into monthly expenses. I had it diverted into the EFA after I had an accident and needed to raise the excess towards the end of the month.... Luckily no accidents since then and the funds kept accumulating until I had a look and the balance was sitting at R31k! (Disco match you rand for rand if you select the EFA) I used that to pay for tyres and still had about R16k left. Now the funds go back into my current account but instead of spending that money, I keep an eye out for the deposit from Disco and go transfer it across into my bond account

You can either contact you broker or I am sure that you can call the help line and get a consultant to do it for you. I just call my broker's admin lady and she sorts it out for me

I see Gym visits must be 30 minutes to get 100 points - no more swipe and go

They say we members like this "gaming stuff..." - they might as well open a casino.

where did you see this?

What Frosty said. I think they use both the accelerometer of both the tracker and the phone and compare the data. If the phone moves similar to the car, then there is no issue, but if the phone is moving differently, it picks it up. So pretty much any time that the phone is being used in your hand, it will know. I have an airvent cradle in my car as well, and for the most part it doesn't detect any motion as it's moving the same as the car, even if I'm interacting with maps for example. I can take calls via the car's bluetooth and there's no issues either. I can use OK Google to send commands as well. But don't hold the phone in your hand and use it whilst the car is moving and it will flag you immediately. And it's not even reducing from 5 to 4 stars, it just goes to 1 star immediately. It has really discouraged use of my phone whilst I am driving, and that is a great thing.

What IS annoying though, is when anyone else uses your phone whilst you are driving, and then detects that as phone motion, which is totally and utterly ridiculous, and there's no way to work around it.

I left my phone at home today, so I can't check. There used to be an option to swipe the activity to be a passenger. Haven't had to use it for a long time.

The Kauai at my local VA is so slow with the smoothie orders that 30 mins will be easy to maintain. Now that the points can be accumulated, I won't have a reason to go to gym as often, as I certainly won't be getting a weekly smoothie.

Perhaps I need to schedule some regular speed work on the treadmill, or a swim - and actually use the gym for what it's intended for.  :D

Still had 2 rewards - one that would have expired next week Wednesday and one that would have expired the 25th. Both for coffees.

Got a notification now that I have to play a board ... another coffee ... but what happened to the two existing ones?

Anyone else lost vouchers recently?

I lost two smoothies. Waiting for them to be loaded onto the new app, if ever!

Aha. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

There's a steering wheel on the map... touch it and it gives the option to select driver or passenger.

Depends on how they tracking it, I know a good 12 or so years ago the machines were actually hooked up to the cards so your treadmill session and such logged automatically into the Vitality dashboard.

Maybe they planning some rubbish like that, how they would track a lifting session however is another story, when I last used virgin, it was not for the treadmill
