Well, thats garmin electing what to send, and being garmin discovery cannot really argue.

is it? or is it just the file header into that disco reads and ignores the rest? i really have no clue.

This one is confusing. Do they get details of the activity such as the distance covered? I thought it was just heart rate and time as mentioned earlier. Because it must be done before 3 November, they must accept more than just the two events mentioned.

Park Run doesn’t require any HR data or a minimum of 30minutes workout. Simply pitch up, complete the distance and voila... done.

The confusing bit is that they say do a “Park Run” or “myrun”... it should have said “Park Run, myrun or your own 5km recorded with a recognised device.

Exactly the same with Suunto and Tomtom.

We have a telemetry system in all company vehicles. As they change from tower to tower, there’s a spike in the speed before it reverts to the actual speed again. I wonder if the same happens with the Disco app?

It doesn’t do it on the (windshield) device though.

I recently lost my polar computer. Looking at options for replacing it... anyone using a bryton computer and able to pair it with their vitality to get discovery points?

As far as i know there are no 3rd party apps that will help you import into Vitality.

To make it worthwhile, you need to have an approved device which relays heartrate.

You can check the Vitality website to confirm which brands are accepted but it is basically the following:

Garmin

Polar

Fitbit

Samsung Health App

TomTom

Suunto

Apple Health App

(Bryton was on the list a while back if I remember correctly but they are not approved currently)

My wife pulled another diamond this morning.... i'm so irritated  hahaha

I pick the same two positions as your 30 and 25 each time I play. The position of the 30 is the one I play if I only have one play

Your wife' board has 7 tiles with value of 40 or more (smoothie equivalent) + the diamond - my board this week had only 4 tiles with value of 40 or more which now gives me a 20% chance to get a smoothie (that was a given before all the changes).

Once the open period is over, it ain't going to be much fun...at least the 3 picks make up for it at this stage.

Thanks -There are a number of GPS options out there - but if you want to be able pair with discovery you are limited to the list above...

Just wondering if the anyone using other devices (Lezyne, bryton, Giant Neostrack etc) have a way around this...

From previous discussions it seems like allot of admin to make other devices work, I am unsure whether a workaround works at all.

Polar, Suunto, Tomtom and Garmin have very nice options, I would rather go for one of those that syncs automatically to Disco and skip the other admin.

Personally I am a Garmin fan, but each to his own.

There is no working way around this, each device include meta data as to what it is and how it was recorded, that is why even if it is a garmin device, adding/importing a workout from another device wont work.
