I feel worse for those poor 3 people on twitter defending him, 2 ladies and some boitjie that rides with him.

Biggest issue, Denied TUE --> Race --> You gonna have a bad time.

They were making it out as he had to chose between life and death. SAIDS just said he was not allowed to compete, not that he could not live.

Those arn't illegal?

Cycling has a no-needle policy.  Thus B12 injection is not legal.

Myprodol is legal.

Some asthma pumps are legal.  Some are not.  Depends what is inside.

SAIDS has loads of info if you are unsure.

And that was exactly the point of my post (soen jou sommer oop bek)

These local Pro's all become Prima Donna's and before they can even explore what their bodies are capable of...they give up...these effer's dope because they are too damn lazy to train hard.....

not entirely true. Doping actually allows you to train harder. A clean athlete can train flat out 4 or 5 days of the week. Get onto epo and you can go balls to the wall 7 days a week and reap the benefits.

Doping definitely doesnt make your training easier. It just allows you to go harder

The string of the comments was in reference to Sauser earlier....where he was likened to now be a doper like Evans and co.

I understand what doping does and what benefits it offers.....thats why I dope every Friday with craft beer....

I also still maintain that our very best clean or not clean are nowhere near the rest of the best in the world....

This is like saying it's ok to lie on your CV so you can get a better job, or to cheat in an exam to get a better mark, or like cheating on your wife because your friends cheat on theirs, or like taking a shortcut in a race so you can finish in the front, or like...

You get the picture. I hope.

Sorry for the late reply.....IMHO I think a lot of rookies and all of us, get into the sport for the love of it, but when it becomes your JOB, it just turns into a whole other monster. (Im sure a few business owners can attest to that....) Kind of like loving cars, and then becoming a car salesman.... As if the the ugly truth is revealed only when you're "in". Plus I just think that doping is as much a part of sport as the lies to cover it up. From the team doctors to the management to the publicists, deny it until proven otherwise is the default statement on social media and the like. Im def. not trying to justify cheating/doping, but at the end of the day its the uncomfortable house guest that is NEVER going to leave....

The best parts of these types of threads are the 1st two pages, you get the basic outline of the sum of the thread, and the last few pages where it has degenerated into a slanging match between bikehub members.

Kinda like a Boksburg nightclub on a Friday, a punchup in every bottle of foaming diesel. Or a verbal abuse in every thread about a pro bike rider getting bust. I'll stick with "they all do it" and not be too disappointed when the story breaks about my favourite of the day.

What will we come up with on Friday?

Just to get it out of the way...

A Quick question to you Criminal law experts out there?

Question 1:

What are the implications, if a RIDER (lets call him "the RIDER"),

had a former team mate busted for the use of EPO(lets just call him ...."Tjorts")

Shortly after the busting of team mate "Tjorts", "The RIDER".. quickly runs of to thePolice to give and affidavit.. stating that he did not know about this doping practise, and never.. (not even ..ever) did he have anything to do with doping in sport or even sniffing Jelly powder...? and then he disappears for a week.....

About 3 years later, "the RIDER" after being contacted by a national anti doping authority ....admits to doping....? Oooooops...

Surely then, the statement in the affidavit a few years earlier was a false statement?...

AKA: The RIDER lied to the police? Thus a VERY "Bad Boy"

Isn't lying to the police a criminal offence?

Question 2:

If "The RIDER", spent some time sharing a prison cell...

Will even the best pair of Assos shorts ever make Mountanbiking fun again...?

Like the fact that doping in schools is now a wide-spread, major issue that is just not being a addressed effectively.

But that's not new, is it? I mean it was like 10-odd years ago that a former hubber was shown on the telly helping rugby mommies with their queries about juice for their kids.

FanD should remember him!

Quick question...why would "THE RIDER" be making an affadavit?

Well, it allows you to recover quicker, allowing you to respond to a higher volume of stimulus, to illicit a far greater response, in a shorter time than "Joe Average".
