Order one from Enjoy in Cape Town. Our Triathlon Club uses their TriSuites and I am very happy with them. I have done 3 70.3s and the full in my suite and it is still perfect. Price is also great! Much cheaper than a Ciovita or 2XU but the same quality. I think price is the same as a First Accent, but I would for sure rather go for the Enjoy one.

You can rent wetsuits for the swim. Makes a huge difference, you don't want to be the only one not in a wetsuit. I have done it previously from xterra wetsuits. It was a easy and convenient

Hey guys so Mosselbaai 70.3 went relatively well except for the bike leg on which I had some mechanical issues combined with probably not training enough. Definately need to improve my cyciling and want to upgrade my bike to the best value for money option. Looking at the following changes

1. Need to get tri-bars

2. Does chanding between 28 and 25 thick wheels make the ride softer ?

3. Is there a big difference between road and mtb cleats on a road bike, power wise ?

Thanks

Well done on MB. It was a lekker day out there!

On those rough roads being able to run a lower tyre pressure makes a huge difference.

3. Is there a big difference between road and mtb cleats on a road bike, power wise ?

The bigger surface are of the pedal certainly helps with power transfer. Hub scientists will have more details. From a comfort point of view spreading the load over you foot also helps.

Looked back to see if I could see what bike you used in the end - was it a road bike or did you settle on the MTB?

A lot of Athletes that we coach use MTB cleats in place of Road cleats - they actually prefer it because they are able to put their MTB shoes on in transition and run with their shoes already on - running in road shoes is always a bit sketchy.  Unless you have budget to buy new Tri shoes with new pedals I don't think that is something you need to worry about right now.
