Many Pro's have come back very strong after recent forced injury/ilness layoffs...  Forced "Taper" means their freshness goes through the roof...

Kwaito winning at Amstel Gold comes to mind (IIRC he and his family struggled with illness recently)

I have been enjoying the racing, post-covid. Not really concerned who wins, but the actual racing seems to be better. A number of riders willing to take a chance, and risk losing, in order to win.
