Good thinking. 'Nou-show' is actually quite a clever title imo.

Although. All of us here know that your idea is up for grabs since you like just made it up.

So you might as well replace the last line with patent pending.

there is already a satire show on bbc radio called the Now Show. they may already have the rights

No, this is radio with pictures.. completely different.

and I think it makes a much cooler story if there is some looney stating he coined the phrase before it got famous, and "look it's true because it's on the interwebs...."

It's the makings of a wonderful twar, and a brief mention in die son.

strategy....

speaking of foreigners talking about the US....John Oliver starts on Sunday night

John will have so much material to work with now, he must be rubbing his hands with glee.

maybe...but the fact is that he was born to "criminals" and spent his formative years being raised by "criminals". As whites we have absolutely no idea what it meant growing up with a black mother or father. I listened to an onterview with him where he said that his mother had to pretend to be her husbands maid so she could be in the city after hours. My wife has interracial cousins about his age, and although they went to grey PE, their home base was  in the Transkei and their father could never leave the transkei else he would have been locked up....so yeah...he was born a crime

True we have no idea and would not even try to presume what it was like for those affected, as I said 'its a true statement'.

I also read that his Mother was living in the same block of flats as his father and that was how they met so possibly opinion is fostered depending on what information we have been given.

Regardless of anything else, he is still somebody who worked hard and has achieved success and that is really what he can be commended for.

If he is on I might watch but I won't go out of  my way to watch him. But then again I didn't like Black Adder and some consider that unheard of.

I dislike Leon even more than Trevor. In fact, I cannot stand Leon. I generally walk out when any of his movies is on TV.

Maybe I prefer British humor, like the 2 Ronnies etc.

And it's a good night from me and a good night from him....

That's cool, though. Comedy is highly subjective, after all. I find Jimmy Carr to be hilarious. Others may think he's just crass.

Carr, crass? Meh!

YouTube Jim Jeffries. Not only funnier, he just tells it like it is.

As for Noah, I don't disputed his work ethic, nor say that he doesn't deserve his success. He does!

BUT that doesn't mean that I MUST think that he is funny!

Love his show and watch it regularly. Think he is doing a great job of highlighting Trumps 'amazing' presidency

He is a good comedian and show host. Interesting that it is noted he has a team of writers so the opinions delivered aren't really his - they are the writers who work to what agenda?

When you start believing that such shows represent fact or reality you could well be very wrong; ask Clinton. My little view - if you want a laugh find a comedian who addresses that (say Black Adder). If you want facts and debate watch the BBC say HARDTalk or Bloomberg. Mixing comedy with relatively uninformed, unchallenged opinion may not give too much accuracy (as we saw with Trumpy).

It's not a political show. It's comedy. In the same way that Last Week Tonight is comedy and not (investigative) journalism.

I don't expect him to have a very long run on the show. TDS is barely beating out Last Call with Carson Daly. That's saying something.

Fair enough, I'm probablydefinitely biased in by what my youtube feed shows me. (I wanted to check up on this, so had a look back and compared october '14 (jon stewart) to october '16

14 - TDS is 0,51, just ahead of Colbert 0,42 (both on cable)  Last call 0,3

16  -TDS is 0,3, Colbert now on network 0,58 - last call 0,28.

Can't work out how to actually compare these apples - but it sort of tells me that TDS has dropped by a big way - in real numbers, gone from 1,28 to 0,78m viewers.  (last week trev had increased to 0,9m)

What it really tells me - americans don't sleep!

YES please. As a MASSIVE fan of the BUGLE (f#$ you chris!!), it is with a heavy heart that i concede that Last Week Tonight has to make up for the Bugle season 4.xxxx's shortcomings
