Having been involved in ordering kit, from local and Italian-based suppliers, for my club, these things do happen - and there is a chance someone will be unhappy on each order. Lots of people with varying body shapes.

It’s a logistical nightmare trying to accommodate every person’s requests, eg. large shirt with extra length (for the really tall guys), or shorter arm length for the ladies.

And with Anatomic sizes being different to any other brand I own, you are well advised to try on and ensure you get what fits correctly.

Once you get the size right, it certainly is nice.

Any chance of Anatomic having a "windbreaker" for a 7 year old ?

You do have the FirstAccent series of windbreakers (those vivid yellow units) for adults.  And this really is HANDY when our winter morning rides start out chilly ....

Kid had to wear his "jacket" at the start.  Which meant we had to get back to the vehicle some time later to drop off his jacket ....

PLEASE ... pretty please .....

PS - really enjoyed your lady in Durbanville today !  When I asked for such a windbreaker her answer was: "We do not YET have something like that."  She acknowledged just how many parents are looking for a RANGE of items for kids ...

PPS - who do we speak to regarding an order for riding tops for primary school kids.  Probably red tops with some "logo" of the school .... (lots of details still to be resolved, for now the school is looking into ball-park figures...)  Some kids are entering the SPUR schools MTB league.

Thanks for the support again Chris, we are busy finalising a new version of our pac-me-shell and it will run into a smaller size curve... 7yrs might be a bit of a push though, but let me discuss the matter with our directors and see what we can do. Even if it is just a once off for your son

As for custom gear, chat with Ian as per the above post, he'll be sure to help you out with anything you require

What is the difference between the racer and ergonomic bibs? The website does not really give that much info. Thanks!

The lady at the Anatomic store in Pretoria told me the ergonomic bib has a much better quality lycra. I have the racer bib and am very happy with the lighter (cooler) lycra and shoulder straps.

Apologies FDP, we will look into better descriptions on all the items to paint a clearer picture...

we need the site to speak for us when we can't :)

The Racer bib is a good solid level bib, it's got a good padding, good lycra - it's kind of our Toyota level, value for money bib. When you move up to the Ergonomics though, you get some small improvements across the item - the Tycoon lycra used in the Ergonomics is most probably the most obvious one, it's a very high grade lycra and is likely to mean your shorts will last 3-4years+ Other improvements are the padding is a newer technology and some of the finishes on as well are a bit more modern and fancy.

Fit wise, they are different cuts, so while you will most likely were the same size in either option, we find the Racer bib is a better fit for the taller skinnier guys, while most standard build folk will prefer the Ergonomic.

We will be having an incredible special on older stock Ergonomic Bibs on Weardirect starting this Wednesday, so anybody in the market for new shorts or bibs, watch this space
