Prince Albert Cycles Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 Hannes Botha , born 11 Oct 1978 passed away on Sept 14 .He could fix anything and was a demon on his bike but he could not beat depression .Hannes was still at school when he started working at Bruce Reyneke on Saturdays and school holidays . He and Peter Marais started a shop in Klerksdorp where they both raced .Moving back to Pretoria Hannes worked for Fritz Pienaar , he started Cycletech with Marco , had his own shop at Harlequins and then moved on to Hot Spot Cycles . He moved to Durbanville where he helped Lourens and worked at Chris Willemse Cycles .The lure of Pretoria and an ex girlfriend took him back to Pretoria where he started Cyclerent with his close and loyal friend Izak Coetzee .With Cyclerent doing better month after month the deep darkness and mystery of depression took him away from us .He leaves his father ( me ) his mother in the Northern Cape , brother in Cape Town and sisters in Swakopmund and Pretoria .We will mis him .

May God carry and comfort you in this difficult time. No words really convey the deep sense of loss. I stared down the dark hole of depression last year, and was lucky to get pulled back from the edge of despair. Ek het eintlik nie woorde nie. jammer.
