I am in my own little happy place riding along enjoying the fresh air and scenery when they announce themselves right behind you scaring the living shyte out of you!! By saying Hi ? Twice Than breaking down on the trail ahead of you !

I have made peace with the fact that some people might either not be concentrating, might be busy dying, or might just be a doooooooooosh!!! (you have to say "Dooosh" in the Lucifer way). In the end, do not let this put you off young padawan, carry on with the way of the light. I have a few different bikes and strangely enough I don't feel or behave any different depending on whether I am on my Specialized, Merida or Cannondale. Sometimes I greet people and smile and wave and high 5 and grab my crotch inappropriately and other times I am thinking about how mistakes I have made have led to severe consequences, or my deceased friends and family, or a work situation that may or may not have knock on effects that needs solving etc.. and then even my mates won't get a peep or a lifted finger from me. We all deal with things that are sometimes more important than being polite to strangers. Give yer balls a tug OP.... figure it oot... (anyone who watches Letterkenny please chime in)

In all honesty I have found some people greet others dont, I really cant be bothered!! Sometimes I am in my own head space and respond then wonder afterwards did he/she hear me. I try to nod as acknowledgement, far more easier and if the person dont acknowledge in return, just blame the head shake on a bump on the trail.

But honestly, I don't really care whether someone greets back. I always say hi and don't expect anything back. But just going past me stranded just shows me that we have become pretty selfish.
