Seen some of these new routes. Can’t wait for more variety since the black route’s closure. When are you guys going to build a trail all the way to the top of Groenberg, with a few dh lines running all the way from the top to the bottom? Mamil Posted August 4, 2018 Share Didn't make the opening. How does permit system work? Can i pitch up on a friday morning, get a permit and ride?
Dirt Tracker Posted August 4, 2018 Share There are some amazing trails around that area. I've had the honour of being taken on a couple of rides by some land owners who are more interested in downs than distance. Please look at some trails that are more focused and on enduro / am than just pumping distance. More 20km with 900+ To 1400 ascent / descent / distance would be awesome. The terrain in that dolhof area has some serious chutes on the left ridge. Since black closed i'm left scratching my head about the under utilization of the awesomeness there. Imagine a route from the top of the pass down. So good. Edited August 4, 2018 by Dirt Tracker Dan Dob and stefmeister
Lizzard30 Posted August 5, 2018 Share Didn't make the opening. How does permit system work? Can i pitch up on a friday morning, get a permit and ride?Yes sure there is a "office" at the start of the loops where you can pay and get your permit for your ride. I rode the Hedgehog yesterday with only 16km but plenty of climbing 600m.. trails is awesome but still needs to form nice lines. Its a bit rough now but will be ridden in soon i guess... Its defnitely a place to go ride... Mamil
