Hey guys,

I've now officially worn my Fox Ranger and my el-cheapo baggies from the UK to bits and keen to get a nice new pair.

I want a padded liner with the shorts - I'm not keen for a bib under a baggy or boardshorts.

Any pointers of what to look for, where to look?

Ideally not imports and I've destroyed google without satisfying results.  Not keen on orange, neon yellow or even bright blues. Prefer grey, black or navy - or at least darker colours.

I've already looked at:

  • Fox Ranger new version - so far on top
  • Indola enduro shorts - two zipper pockets at odd places
  • First Ascent Trail baggies - pretty good actually, but Med too small and large way too big.

i have some Indola ones and some maXed. i like the fit of the indola better but i use both. I didnt like the inner in the Indola though but luckily it is easy to remove...so i just wear them over my usual bib.

My favourite baggies to date: Westpeak.

They are fitted (as I'm a shorter rider) and colour still perfect after a year's usage - compared to my ION baggies.

Local guys, and very affordable.

Only downside for the OP, you need to use a bib underneath. Suits me perfect as I use my older/faded/favourite bibs with this baggie.

same for me. i actually prefer the feel of the bib being "disconnected" from the baggy....if that makes sense. i dont know..it just feels less limiting to me. can be all in my head too ofcourse lol

Indola makes 2 types, correct? What are the differences?

The one has proper padding; the other very ‘basic padding’. I have both. The problem with the basic padding is the it is covered with a material that losens over time and rimple which then causes potential problem for your @ss :-)

I would rather spend the extra money and get the propper padding.
