Meanwhile, the gogga is picking up speed in France.

These are unprecedented times for professional sport.

Italy and Spain is seeing a very big increase as well. I think we'll be lucky to get through this season without it being shut down and infections in the peloton / teams.

Regardless of country or nation, I can see that 'Covid19 fatique' is leading to complacency and, younger people, naturally frustrated with social distancing, are some of the risk variables out there.

It will be very tense and intense in the high-performance environment of the Tour de France teams as tapering, ironing out niggles and relaxation will be high-priority.

Phew!

I heard (podcast) or read somewhere that GT said he is doing the Classics after the Tour. This might change as he isn’t doing the Tour, but rather the Giro.

Edit: below is a video of GT saying he won’t be doing the Tour, but the Giro instead.

Perhaps the snub (even humiliation) of not being selected for the TdF is exactly what G needs to revitalize his career.

If it doesn't all go belly up you'll see. At the end of the year Ineos will have won all 3 grand tours.

Bernal TDF

Thomas Giro

Froome Vuelta.

But, I thought Cav was a shoe-in to go?

Not surprised though, he has shown zero interest in going for the win.

yes saw that. I wonder what that's all about

A super Dom role for a bit as well as chances with a strong team around him for things like Lombardia and week long races. He is a different kind of rider to his brother and probably he sees chances to progress with tie coaching set up. He has GC ambitions but is stuck between the new generation crashing the scene and the leaving of the old order that him and Simon were understuding for.

He’s kind of stagnated at MS recently. Sky wanted one of them back before they signed for the Australian team, not sure which it was though. Ineos are looking a bit Brit light at the moment with the leaving of Froome, Teo still a work in progress and Thomas getting older and only 1 season left. The future has been anointed as Bernal, Carapaz and Siv’ but Jim Radcliffe being the champion of British sporting endeavor will want some English figure head for the team.

Just saw Larry Warbasse tested positive for covid at Il Lombardia but is symptom free.

Soon these riders may be tested for Covid more often than for gummy-berry-juice ....

As per rules set out for the TDF if 2 riders per team test postive for COVID the entire team has to withdraw from the race... Edited by Gen
