Blokman Posted January 17, 2020 Share I cannot do it this year . I'm a back marker with serious withdrawal symptoms.I'm sure you guys and girls all have your rituals before the race. We go down on a Thursday, stay in Grootbrak. The Friday is "my" day . So we normally go to Calitzdorp , visit Grundheim , De Krans and Boplaas . Then off to Oudtshoorn for number collection and coffee and cake on the stoep of the Queens hotel. We head home past the Chandelier start via George. The evening it's the pre race rituals . Saturday morning before five the wife drives me back to the start . I get dropped off on the gravel. Rusk and coffee for twenty rand, and into the chute for small talk and butterflies. I hope you all have a safe good race. Edited January 17, 2020 by Blokman Skubarra, Mamil and Flowspeed
