Coronavirus lockdown and exercising outdoors

Government Gazzette shows exercising between 06:00 - 18:00 only.

I'll post the file shorty.

What a weird rule/law? How many people actually train outside in the evenings and very early mornings? It must be a small minority anyway?

I work from 07:00 - 17:00, excluding my travel time.

Would be nice to be able to get a run in, during the week.

Yeah that's what I do when its bitterly cold here in Cape Town. Also have a Seal Skinz Skull Cap

Or a Casquette under the helmet and buff over the mouth to take the edge off the cold air (not good for asthma) Nose stays open

Having Stayed in Bloem for 10 years. This winter feels like a slighly colder summer day

I get that some people train in those hours (me included in better past days) - but what would be the point of this restriction given that it is a small minority (Yes I know one shouldn't expect common sense nowadays)

free movement of hours to some could come across as no lockdown..maybe..

Lots of us. My regular training group is on the road at 4:30 everyday.

sho, since I'm a dad it feels like waking up at 7:30 is sleeping in, but being on the bike at 4:30 damn I'm not there yet haha even on race day !

no beaches or parks either

So a beach is sandy or pebbly. Would entering and exiting the water from a rocky shoreline be prohibited? I promise not to linger there with my skottel and umbrella, just passing through.

Some of us even still shove newspaper down the front of our jerseys. When it gets sweaty or you warm up, it's easy to dispose of at a garage dustbin and you can continue your ride.

I dont believe there is a newspaper in the house.Have not bought one for ...10 years maybe.

religious gatherings permitted. I think we can all agree a braai on a beach is a spiritual experience.

just dont invite more than 50 people including yourself...and remember to have the 'braai commandments' handy just in case.

Mine too (at least before lockdown) and generally the streets are mostly deserted that time of the day - don't see the point of prohibiting people to train that time if there is no curfew otherwise
