Hackers can do it!

Seems like a solo subvet entry is R4k.

So it is like any other event currently, but a road stage race needs to get off the ground somehow. If they have ambitions to create a "tour down under" type uci event then this is one way to do it.

Its cheaper than the Tour of Good Hope was listed at before entry discounts were applied to attract entrants.

So we'll see you on the start line Shebeen :)

I've had queries via email and "contact us" go unanswered for over a week now.

Making me hesitant to drop my R4k...

No chance of this event selling out - should be fine to wait till closer to the date to make a final call

Tshwane Classic and Lost City used to be ASG events?

Not saying its the same people but there seems to be a connection?

One of the guys on the team used to organize the events at ASG.

??? What's a licenced category ? I'm not gonna enter if I have to do it on my old bike....

I suspect they mean only for the Elite and U23;s.

The age category riders don't need a license just CSA membership to participate

Interesting: The rules states no disc brakes (for licensed categories - english version)

26. Disk brakes not allowed in licensed categories.

26) Skyfbrieke sal nie toegelaat word nie

i think that's just a cut and paste from an old rule list, and will be adjusted

remember when UCI were anti disc brakes in the pro peleton because of the "perceived danger". No one seems to be bothered anymore, i challenge anyone to try and recall how many of the 3 GTs and WChamps were won on disc brakes this year without googling.

have sent mail to them.

not exactly confidence inspiring when the official channel is a gmail address, and there is no facebook/social media link

Think you are right .... just a copy and paste error .... from an old rule-book

UCI allowed disc brakes since 2018, and CSA have allowed it too ...

3.4.6 Disc brakes are allowed in road race and time trial training and competition. (Refer UCI Rule 1.3.025)
