Now that there is no Vissershok, what climb will be replacing it and what's the distance and elevation of that said climb?

No replacement climb sadly, so no real climb on the entire route.
Still wrapping my head around how this race might unfold...

So km zero break? 😛

Doing a Kiesenhofer is highly encouraged.

@Pure Savage posted this a while back:

It has total elevation gain listed as 779m, which seems a bit high given that there's no real climb but I guess the undulations add up.

I use 100m elevation for every 10km as 'n marker for a hilly route. This race will likely only wake up in the second half with rolling uphill and a headwind to animate things.

I rode the route on Saturday, sure there aren't big climbs but I do think the last 20km might be tougher than what people anticipate, especially if too many matches are burned on the first 80km. It's a long drag with some steep rollers. Add heat and a head/crosswind to the mix and a few might be dropped in the last 20km.

Hmmmmmm. So if we test positive and have no symptoms then we don't have to isolate but can't race?! Sounds bizarre

Less bizarre than people not getting vaccinated

I would far rather take my pain on a big bump like Vissers than the slow and long drag of that last 20km.

The final 20km was also the final 20km of the old route though...
