And if you need to contact them, email and whatsapp gave me no joy. But the following number at the end of the contact page got me to a human finally (tel:+27120125205)

Thanks did that, got a whatsup back, to say I am registered for a B Start, (on their website still nothing...)

Checking the MTB Start List this morning i see my name is now showing up. Looks like this list is still a work in progress, hence my name wasn't showing up yesterday. I did not get a chance to contact the Race office either, so this update was solely from their side.

Makes sense now why the e-mails with proper info still not sent. Their start lists still incomplete!

Looks like number collection is individually and in person,  after booking a slot.  Going to be a bit of a hassle tbh.

Below is from the website

P.S. GPX file is now on the site

I'm wondering for how long race no collection will last in the future. I feel for blokes who need to sell some product . But to make a rule that no bulk collections will be allowed in these times is not very clever. With the worries about Covid collecting in bulk makes sense . What is better . Putting people into time slots  or one person just collecting twenty packs ? And how many may we collect, two maybe three ?

Some people or clubs from far away only arrive on the evening of the race. Will somebody be allowed to collect for them ?

It's just a race pack and a number. Online please. Thanks for entering, here's your voucher. Collect your bottle, deodorant and vitamins at Dischem at your own leisure. See you at the start.

I think the inperson thing is more to control the "have you been vaxed or are covid negative"

We had the MOST and BEST experience at the Smurfy race.

NO STUPID NUMBER COLLECTIONS.

Pitch up and race.  If you did not enter, you get a DQ.

Easy.
Simple
Cost effective
CLEVER!

I'll pay double for this.

think it is more to get people to go to the expo in the hope they spend cash than covid.

I agree.
I'm just glad it's close to home, and/or I have a branch close by that I can pay a visit to at the same time.

I'm confused. Is there or there not any race pack collection for the MTB event? Looks like there isn't? Only requirement is to have an SAS board? So where does one get the batch sticker thing? At the entrance? Comms are not very clear.

And one more thing. So they'll have this Biogen stuff at the waterpoints (I can't tol;erate it). Will there be plain water too?
