the guy has decent results you just need to do a bit more homework. Only turned Pro in 2022, won the baby Tour the same year, 2021 was the Junior Belgian ITT Champ. This year he finished higher on GC than Remco at the Tour of Spain.

I will believe the hype when he has a WT win to his name. Unfortunately, in this day and age winning juniors means nothing. Every promising young Belgian is the new Merckx according to the media.

Remco switched to stage hunting after his stage 13 implosion and was shipping time

Young, promising Belgian, he is the new Remco without any results

no results, that's a high bar you have set.

20yr old who has a grand tour top 10 (where as a support rider he still beat Remco).

Byron Munton for a hungarian proconti, Travis Stedman for Q36.5 development

I missed it, but looks like they made up just before christmas, and jumbo bought him out of his Bora contract

https://www.globalcyclingnetwork.com/racing/news/bora-hansgrohe-and-visma-lease-a-bike-agree-compensation-package-for-cian-uijtdebroeks

so sensibility won in the end, boring end to the soap opera

I opened the link to looking for the same answer, as the Velon CC IG feed shows him in yellow kit.

There isnt much to tell here, I coaches him in 2023 and a great kid, super focused and asked me to move teams with him and stay as his coach. I declined for my own reasons.

But then you get other factors influencing decisions and hell breaks loose with a example of how not to start your career. I can say the bs in media were fabrications.
