FondTF2 Posted June 7, 2022 Share Looks like Maincheese will also be the only saffer represented at the tour this year. Gibbo recovering post his back operation Impey not at full force post his crash last year Not sure about Debod being part of the Astana start list. At least Maincheese is showing some form of late. Much is being said about ITT distances in grand tours, but wouldn't it be great to see a TTT with Jumbo with the squad they have Vetplant

Kuss, Wout and Jonas were brilliant. Does anyone have an answer for Pogi though???

Vetplant Posted June 8, 2022 Share JV are going to have to try something different to get the jump on Pog somewhere. Maybe do a monster TTT at the end of stage 2 to drop Pog in the crosswinds anticipated on the 18km long bridge... “It blows there 300 days a year,”said Trek-Segafredo’s Mads Pedersen https://www.velonews.com/news/road/could-an-18km-bridge-ruin-the-gc-ambitions-of-the-climbers-at-the-tour-de-france/ DieselnDust and TheoG
TheoG Posted June 8, 2022 Share Just maybe Jonas is good enough this year to not only challenge for a podium but for the win. Vetplant

lechatnoir Posted June 8, 2022 Share They're gonna need a few pieces of wire with a hook on the ends on stage 5 to try and get the tiny climbers that have fallen between the cobbles! 😅 peetwindhoek and Vetplant 1

But maybe we must take this underground as we don’t need J.Wakefield taking our tactics and strategy suggestions to the board of engineering another Pog win.😂 Vetplant

It is one thing to know about the plan, it is a totally different thing to get your ducks in a row to cover the risk. The team selection conundrum is really interesting with the course this year. WvA is worth his weight in Gold to JV as he can assist Roglic in all the terrains. DieselnDust and TheoG
