The Vaalies can count their blessings if all they get on race day is some rain. They could easily be klapped by some wind, at near gale force strength. 

As @ChrisFsays, this is Cape Town afterall.

Second lesson they need to learn about the Cape - If you wait for the weather to play nice here you're not going to do anything.

From warm-up to rolling back to the car it was raining, drizzling, or for brief moments the water only came up from the road and not also down from the sky...
In a word: Wet.

No huge downpours luckily.
