100km ride out to Box Hill with Patchelicious . That was the only time the sun showed itself

Was a bit wet & chills

"a bit wet and chills" wins understatement of the year!

Face looks (edit: arguably? Lol) alot better today, but feels worse. Guess its the swelling. Still drinking my coffee through a straw and eating my food using a teaspoon haha

Seeing the orthopedic surgeon this afternoon re shoulder and axillary nerve. Hopefully not too bad.

Eina fokkit.

Good luck dude.

I'm not going to like Morne's post. It looks decidedly eina.

I still, 3 years later have not regained feeling in a section of my lower lip.

Take it easy, especially the ortho rehab stuff. Zwift helps a lot. (for the mind, and keeping the legs strong)

Canyon Neuron 27.5”

Ugh, I hate it. Ha ha ha.

I've wanted it for a while now, but ordering it locally ends up being so expensive that it's just not worth it.

Something crazy like R70k delivered.

You're lucky you didn't bust out a tooth or 4

You can say thank you no broken ribs, especially if the muscles around them decide its time to cramp, worst pain I ever experienced.

Eina bliksem. Heal up soon.

That lip cut should be almost non existent once it heals up, given that you had a plastic surgeon put it back together.

Many years ago my dad has a beer keg explode next to him, some shrapnel did a similar thing to his lip (but also took out several teeth), he also had a plastic surgeon put it all back together int he ER. No scars visible.

You know its bad when the Doc calls his apprentice entourage to come look at the sonar of the k@k you got up to????

He says the way it popped out only happens in about 2% of cases. They almost never see it. The shoulder was popped out the back with so much axial force that the ‘collar bone’ and ball of the shoulder basically sawed a v-shaped channel into each other. He now wants me to go get an MRI so he can see where that bone ended up and what happened to the ligaments so he can advise on s way forward. FML

Edit: the good news is I don't have to wear a sling anymore because apparently it wont make any difference haha

The way my orthopod explained it to me is that a shoulder will almost never dislocate without it either breaking something or tearing ligaments. The ones where you just pop it back in and carry on with life and not have problems are the true exceptions. Yes, I agree that the scan is necessary to give all the right info before making the final decision about how to deal with it. Holding thumbs for you.
