Ross is busy dreaming up another ride for us (maybe not a race) involving some steep climbs on private land stretched over 40km (or so he says).

I took my almost 20 year old Raleigh RC4500 out for a spin this morning to the R59/N1 bridge just north of the Vaal Toll Plaza, I was quite surprised at how little traffic there was early the morning. I assume most people making use of the long Easter weekend already were at their destinations.

First ride since my crash last week. 
lots of physical and mental healing still to do. Ribs are not happy going over anything remotely resembling a bump. 
 

Rode far off the back of my group, then we hit a particularly potholed stretch of road and I decided to just let them go. 
the combination of rain, darkness and the inability to absorb or jump over bumps was not pleasant at all.

A beautiful morning on Bottelary hills, not the first or last time we missed a turn or 2 and doing some extra climbing 😂 

Pap tyres first needed to recharge with cold beer and pizza to make it home afterwards. 🍕🍻

Same here that's why we keep losing the route when going there😁. There's also some great new (to us) trails 👌
