Green belt and Rhodes. Tried the Kirstenbosch divert, but didn't finish the climb cos I was pressed for time and wasn't sure of the time I'd take to get back vs using the normal route.

To the Khwa ttu / Ormonde MTB trails, 50 km up the R27 from Melkosstrand. A hidden gem. Did the 30 km red route. 

 

Make sure you've got lots of slime (and water).

Very good. Had no problem stopping a bike as hefty as an e-bike. Lever feel is good, braking is controlled.

Trekked east this weekend and went to Mankele for their Avalanche event.

Didn't get too many photo taking opportunities because

a) there's no time (I  never thought 4.6km in 14 minutes could take so much out of me, arms and legs smashed and HR bursting off my scree.... BUT WHAT FUN!!!)

b) had to cut the event short to head home so only did 1/3 of the runs   

 

So, here from Saturday's first stage... a rear facing, saddle mounted GoPro shot of the trail, the view and my shadow cast from the sun ahead of me.

 

and a chilled afternoon pedal around the Sudwala lodge resort on Friday
