Green belt and Rhodes. Tried the Kirstenbosch divert, but didn't finish the climb cos I was pressed for time and wasn't sure of the time I'd take to get back vs using the normal route.

Spend some time on a Specialized Levo to test SRAM's EX1 groupset, their new Code RSC brakes and the Rockshox 1x remote lever.

Yeah I usually ride with a smaller 500ml bottle or use my Camelback but it smelt funny this morning [emoji15]

Trekked east this weekend and went to Mankele for their Avalanche event.

Didn't get too many photo taking opportunities because

a) there's no time (I  never thought 4.6km in 14 minutes could take so much out of me, arms and legs smashed and HR bursting off my scree.... BUT WHAT FUN!!!)

b) had to cut the event short to head home so only did 1/3 of the runs

So, here from Saturday's first stage... a rear facing, saddle mounted GoPro shot of the trail, the view and my shadow cast from the sun ahead of me.

yeah, the CODEs should take the XT's, rip them off the bike, stomp them, eat them then crap them out in the woods somewhere in a pre-dug hole 6 feet deep...

The Guides do that to XT's already. The CODEs are a level above...

Myles, since when are you an SRAM fanboy?

Anybody that needs more stopping power than XT needs to drop some weight.  :whistling:

Since always.

Elixir 5's, Elixir XX, Codes, Guide RS. All faultless. Just needs to be bled PROPERLY to work at their optimum level, which will blow anything by Shimano completely out the water, IMO.

But now I'm on Hope. I just love the extra control that comes with bigger brakes.
