still don't know how to get to the start of FireHut 1

Start on the circle route, go over the bridge and straight past the gate, once through the gate take the left road up (I think it is marked as quarry route).

Continue with the climb until you get to a jeep track that turns sharp right and just go up there. You will get to Firehut 1 and if you continue upwards you will reach Firehut 2.

i thought the bottom ones were 3 and 2, or does it run the other way, ie. isn't Firehut 1 right on top, then you drop into Firehut 2 and then Firehut 3?

Firehut 1 is the lowest section, with Firehut 3 being the top section. Check your pm's

 

Edit: I see now that on Strava Firehut is listed from the top as 1, 2 and 3. at Jonkershoek the trail markers mark them from the bottom upwards as 1, 2 and 3.

thanks, yeh my strava only has 2 and 3 no 1, so keen to try out Strava 1 or Firehut 3
