Matthew Ferguson and his team are opening a super cool new bike shop on Southfield Road in Plumstead. With incredible bicycle history on display, a serious collection of frames and rare bicycles, imported Japanese equipment, a music corner complete with a stage this is going be a great addition to Cape Town's pretty unimaginative bike shop scene.

Barista Mostert Bungu will be serving delicious Illy Intenso  (strong and good!) at the coffee bar daily from early, and future plans for the shop include a chain wax service, Goldsprints (stationary fixed gear racing) and all-round good vibes.

🍺 COME TO THE OPENING TOMORROW EVENING ANY TIME FROM 5! 🍺

Friday 31 May 2024 / 5pm onward / beer, wine, coffee, jazz, bikes!

2 Southfield Road, Plumstead, Cape Town

Bloody cyclists!!! 😀🚲

I'll be popping in for a coffee on one of my rides - rode part of the eroica nova with the barrista Mostert.

With what the taxis do to GA busses, they need some love 🥰.

Northern Suburbs taxis are (mostly) good to cyclists.

GA busses .... all to often they squese us into the pavement .... NO love lost there ....

The rest of the video .... a "different" sub culture .... puts some of the driver complaints in context .....

At lrast we all get to choose our riding partners.

Chris I’ve met some of the different sub culture cyclists  . They not bad okes . They have a deep rooted love of all things 2 wheels. And a part of me is sorry I never had the inkling and opportunity to be different.

Fully agree.

Would be super boring if we all did the same stuff ....

The video does NOT show reckless riding.  Just a sprited different approach.

Fully respect their right to do it differently.  And hoping they stay safe while having fun

What’s their website and what is for sale?

Mostly  coffee and sandwiches, the bikes are for viewing pleasure but if you take a keg of moonshine you might get lucky and leave with something shiny
