Looks like AMP has taken the lead in the women's  event after today's stage. I suppose we're getting to the point where stage race roadies are going to start shining.

Prevot punctured badly today. She lost nearly 10min.

Just caught up with a stage 4 highlights. The riding is through some really tough terrain. Tempo here is faster and more edgy than MTB.

the only thing I find weird is the finish line is in the middle of nowhere. Hardly anyone around. I’m sure this will change as the event gains popularity. I wouldn’t expect grandstands but at least some people to make a noise. Other than that it looks flipped awesome

I think the finish line in the middle of nowhere is part if the idea in keeping it remote and exclusive. The event is about the riders themselves and the camaraderie amongst them rather than the large fan based. I was chatting to Hayley Preens dad before the event and he was saying that they have limited access to spectator points  along the route for this very reason.

Yeah I get that. Just saying sponsors

and organiser could create a bit more fanfare and excitement on the finish line.

pS: looks Like a tornado twisted through the camp yesterday afternoon ripping a few Tents from their anchorage and taking up umbrellas into the air traffic control corridor 😂. Luckily no one was injured

the orange windmill finishline is a bit comical. The closest human to the line appears to be the drone operator!

That'll warm me up and dry my throat in the dusty altitude of the Karoo landscape. Today was the queen stage, I think, with that speed bump to the chequered flag.

How Matt Beers defy gravity and only lose a 100 seconds thereabouts to the mountain Goat Tom Pidcock - incredulous.NGB%2520Route%2520Profiles_2025v7-05.jpg
