This is the same guy that threatened BikeHub with legal action, RIGHT 🤷‍♂️

Kan jy nou meer ..........................................

Reminds me of a certain multiple le Tour winner who used this very same tactic every time somebody dared accuse him of doping. He successfully ran his bullying scheme for many years before he "bonked"

History's got this dirty habit of repeating itself

Well the current round of threats were just a load of hot air. He did hand a case number to BH recently, but I highly suspect that it was false anyway - which is another fraudulent action.

Unfortunately, people take threats seriously and usually back down to avoid the conflict, which makes the threatening person win.

Maybe @Warren Melissa Go Riding can vlog it for us😂  If memory serves me correctly they were signed up for one of his tours? (Dunno why I think I remember seeing that somewhere, apologies if I've completely made that up).

Yep, we were, was cancelled on the last moment. When we confronted him and distanced ourselves, he said we must not believe what we read.

We did follow up with the trail builders on the trails we were supposed to ride and they had no idea. When we chatted to him and raised this, he said that they just buy permits. Oh well, crisis avoided

The court was full of everyone except Taun. His bail hearing has apparently been postponed for a week. Met his wife, he chose well. I feel desperately sorry for her because she is clearly still under his spell. Hopefully she has strong support network, seems like she has a good heart. Probably an empath which is exactly what people like Taun are attracted to. I imagine she will desperately wants to help him and save him from all of this. Such a waste of talent from both sides.

That means he is still locked up awaiting bail, if I understand you correctly?

The holding cells are not a pretty place, perhaps fitting for some pre-served justice

Very astute comment

Hopefully he is sitting in jail cell until then?

I find it hard to believe she didn't know, but then that french case with the deranged husband came to mind. I hope they don't have kids! She better start facing reality. Not sad for him at all. In fact, impressed it appears they are trying maybe to consolidate his charge. The mess he has left behind is what is devastating.

Belinda I personally was not affected by him but I am truly impressed with the way you have continued to address this and not let him get away. You must have a cape somewhere. Well done.

If a bail hearing is postponed, the suspect will be kept in the holding cells until such a time as the matter was heard and a ruling on bail was made.

The kind of woman you want to shake, as a fellow woman and empath. If you look at some of the comments on the old 4x4 posts (the wood fetcher) it seems his charisma extends to men as well. The kind of guy who could do so much good in the world but instead wakes up every day and chooses to be a schemer.

What I dont understand is why/how he used his real name as opposed to a pseudonem, like Piet van der Merwe or what ever.
Its not like his name is not unique, and will stand out on a page to you from a mile away if you've been defrauded by him before.  (apologies to the purists for the double negative)

She has a steep road ahead of her, or she can cut her losses and bail - tough position to be in and he hope she has the backup network you mention (and a solid prenup).

On reflection I looked up the first (i think) thread/post he did here.

hard lockdown, so out of every crisis there is an opportunity. He got called out immediately, but showed remorse.

I am glad I gave him the benefit of the doubt and a second chance back then, but he used that up and more.

but on reflection, it is clear to see that he was believing his own bullsh1t. Quite amazing it is almost five years already. If ONLY he put so much energy into a legitimate business.

I thought that too.

and then figured he probably does both and we are seeing just the tip of the iceberg. Might even have multipe id books for all you know.
