Hey guys, so there is this bike at an "auction" place near my work, just wondering if it is really worth anything, needs quite a lot of work, but thought it may be a fun project, or is it not really worth it for a bike like this? Sorry, the pictures aren't great

So she ain't all that pretty at the moment, but it is a working bike, need a quick link for the chain and then I can go for a test ride After a couple of rides I will strip it down, maybe replace the crank with a proper 2x crank and have a nice paint job done and get a decent saddle and bar tape

Damn, I forgot I also need a saddle and bars ???? haha, will build it up like that to test it all works and then will get stripped down again for painting, not sure if I will do DIY or get a proper job done ????

Found a fork finally, now just need a set of wheels and the bike will be ready to ride, things I will upgrade later will be the Crankset and a decent headset, will post some pictures over the weekend

Not cycling related, but I did a dirtbike ride once where it started out hot as hell and by mid ride it started raining, then started hailing, then got moer hot again, and is still one of the best and most memorable rides I have ever done, sometimes less than ideal conditions make best adventures

Hairy, have a look on Cogent industries website, they have SKF ABEC5 bearings for similar prices to rapide iirc, worth a look

I guess at the right price this could be an option until I find a rigid, let me know when it is available, at the moment all I have is one of those non-damped Suntour coil forms to use ????

Thanks, I have been checking Aliexpress and ebay, I just don't want to wait that long, some of their adds even state that if you cant wait 2-3 months, then dont order from them... And the forks that will be delivered in 8 days have expidited shipping added to the prices, so then they land up at R2.5k-R3k

Seen lots of Chinese forks that are suitable, for around R2600 delivered in about 8 days, but I am bit sceptical...

Hey guys, I am looking for a set of Shimano 10 speed road shifters that are in good working condition I am also looking for a Shimano 9 speed MTB rear derailleur that is in good working order if anyone has anything lying around gathering dust? Willing to pay for them obviously.

Thanks man, but already have 2 frames, an Orbea 26" and a Raleigh 650b, to choose from, just need to decide which will be best for the build, at the moment I am keen on doing to Orbea but not sure if it might be a little big

Trails are looking much better, there is hardly any mud anywhere and the guys have done a lot of work cutting grass, there is still a LOT of work that needs to be done, but the trails are looking much better
