Would be interesting to know what the review trend looks like over the years. Perhaps the teething issues and problems experienced with initial models have been sorted out.? I'm sure even Zipp and the like experience similar without it making it a bad brand.? Something lots of budget buyers overlook is the hubs/spokes/nipples used and the role it plays in the overall wheel quality. (not to mention the quality of the build) Many rims are created equal, but wheels can be differentiated by the other components.

I doubt Hunt's omission was intentional ... suspect that it's just not particularly familiar yet. But agreed, from what I've read they are worth a look.

The rims appear on par with most budget options.

You could probably get many if not all direct from China better specced and priced. CRC also have a couple reduced wheels worth looking at while the Prime range also offers good value. They had the Prime SE for around R7k.

I think all apps/forecasts got it wrong on Sun. The one I checked had wind @ 25kmh with 35kmh gusts. I think one could add at 10-15km to each of those numbers. PS: I wasn't at Sportive but getting blown about around the peninsula where Chappies management felt it best to close the road.

Insurance is a business, so by all means limit your risks. Insist on burglar proofing properties etc. Don't limit your risks by shortchanging your clients.

Insurance should generally place you in the same position as before an incident. There is no way I'll be convinced that a repaired carbon frame can be of same value.

I did the same once. Felt less embarrassed when I saw them struggling too.

I don't cycle in the Table View/West Coast direction often because I feel obligated to use the cycle lane and don't really fancy it. Hopefully motorists will also understand the choice to stay on the road now as a result of safety concerns.

Fitting tyres is not for the faint hearted. LOL Sometimes you need to step back, leave it for a while and then try again. What's helped me on occasion is to put some sealant on the tyre bead/rim hook when inflating for the first time.
