stockli is swiss i think.
So, after 6 weeks of turmoil and heartache, the Litespeed is complete. Please excuse the terrible photo, I took a quick snap of the bike after our usual Tuesday morning coffee ride, hence the lights etc.
This truly an incredible bike. The frame is light but compliant but also stiff in the right places. The through axels on the front and back wheels also make a massive difference. It just feels so solid.
I will take better pictures of the saddle, it is a Fizik Antares which Velobrien did some magic to. It is a great detail on what is a gorgeous bike.
Due to the rear stay design, I had to move away from the HY RD's and to Spyre SLC's, I must say that I actually prefer the cable SLC's.... they are incredible.
I am still running the 10 speed Force shifters with the 10 speed MTB XO rear derailleur, it works really well.
I am on the hunt for a direct mount SRAM 10 front derailleur if any of you have one laying around.
how did I miss this post??? that's perfect.
I see George is sharpening up his legs with some old friends.
What about road bikes? A quick snap of my Soma Smoothie... again, pictures do not do it justice. The paint is actually a pearl metallic. Love it.
nice
you mean the post office, nothing "lies at customs" - customs don't have your package.
once the declaration is submitted to customs, its released (or detained) in a matter of minutes or at the worse a few hours. most of the time its all electronic with a risk profile engine and no office even sees the paperwork, let alone the actual package.
Bikehub should email back the guy that sent the news story and just say, sorry we're not promoting this on our site.
Or simply edit the article and insert "convicted doper" where necessary.
remember the two DH world cups that had in stellenbosch? '97 and '98 I think,
They even had a citizen's race that I did. Courses were much more tame back then.
These arrived from CRC yesterday (super fast delivery by DHL)
11spd chain and cassette from CWC today
I get a Ultegra Di2 kit tomorrow and then its 'Goodbye 10spd Dura-Ace'
Dura Ace to Ultegra is a downgrade mate.
See its true, jealousy does make one nasty.
this is getting out of hand. i'm all for quality and have fallen victim to some early trends, defeet lumo socks come to mind, just give me well priced, high quality long black socks,
Anybody knows where he is going?
Spur.
Never thought I'd see the day. Well done to all who made this happen. Please let these trails be safe from criminals.
6 month ban over the off season, so harsh.
edit, didnt read
Martin and Jeannie Dreyer set new record mountain biking Kilimanjaro
in The Bike Room

Awesome achievement, seems there's nothing these two cant do.
But I remember reading Rebecca Rusch doing this?
An Unsupported Mountain Bike Ride of Kilimanjaro
Earlier this year, adventurer Patrick Sweeney teamed up with professional mountain biker Rebecca Rusch to attempt something that's only been done once in history: climb and descend Mount Kilimanjaro on mountain bikes. To make things even more interesting, the two decided to keep the mission totally self-supported, meaning they didn't accept help from porters, or from medicine to help with altitude sickness. The goal of the expedition was to raise one dollar for every foot of climbing they did (that's $19,240) for World Bicycle Relief, a charity that builds burly bikes for folks living in remote areas throughout Africa.
