  3. I have been toying with the idea of getting myself a pair of goggles for All mountain riding and possibly to be used with my half lid at the Enduro events. Had my first ride in the wet last weekend and boy! my face and shades was covered in SPLAT... Also, hitting 60km/hr on two occasions at enduro events, had my eyes watery behind the shades. Enough said, i think this is more than enough motivation to consider getting pimp'd with some awesome looking stuffs. Was roaming about and these tickled my fancy: Fox AIRSPC goggles 100% Accuri Von Zipper Bushwick XT These Three above are pretty much in the same price range. Performance wise... i cannot comment though. Keen to hear what you guys think... to goggles or not to goggles? haha better yet lets see yours!?!

  7. TokaiMTB Volunteer Build Day 3rd June 2017, 9am - 3pm Join us for the next Volunteer Build Day of 2017! This build day takes place on Saturday the 3rd June at 9am. We'll be working on DH3 again! Thanks to the last build day, as well as the efforts of the Trail Tarts, the 2nd Bergvliet & 1st Steenberg Scout groups and a couple other intrepid volunteers, we should be able to open the lower extension of DH3 after this build day! After this, there will need to be a bit more material put into the trail in order to secure long-term sustainability (clay, clay, clay) and to get final shaping done, but with the basic trail being open, this could be done bit by bit and we can get back to enjoying DH3 in all its (NEW! IMPROVED!) glory. Vasbyt is now open again, and seems to be getting rave reviews from those who have ridden it. There are still a few areas which need additional material (clay and stone to replace sand) but that can be dealt with in good time. If anyone has a spare wheelbarrow, please bring it along to the build day, we'll be moving some material! Bring your hats, a spade or metal rake, sunscreen and plenty of water. A snack/lunch may also be useful! So - as normal, there are limited slots available. Please RSVP as soon as possible by filling in the form at the link below. See you on Saturday! As usual, please try to be there a little before 9am so that we leave nobody behind. Register here: http://eepurl.com/cQyhy5 Regards The TokaiMTB team.
  8. So Sram have updated the codes and beefed them a bit. Check Pink bikes 1st ride with them mounted on a Slash. Personally I've been waiting for these so will be good to know what they are going to go for. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/srams-new-code-brakes-first-ride-2017.html
  9. Hi All - Tried looking through the forums but didn't find what I was looking for so I'm hoping you all can give some input from personal experience. I'm getting back into the gravity side of riding as not excited by doing 50km of jeep track just for the sake of riding. I'm looking to get my confidence up and enjoy a day out cruising down hills and trails. I used to do a lot of this kind of riding so I'm prepared to put myself out there a little, but just not ready for 20 foot gaps and 3 meter drops if you know what I mean... Places I've heard are good: Thaba Red Barn Van Gaalens Cheers, Balt.
