incidentally that boat was named after my grandfather.

he supported NSRI for years, mostly by donating heavily at their annual wine auction. Come to think of it, where did all that wine go....

I grew up in the Karoo, I NEVER laugh at anyone else when it comes to swimming - not after my kids explained to me what I look like when swimming - something about an epileptic fit and foam bubbles!

Same here. Only swimming I can do is "versuipslag" - That frantic splashing just before you go under.

 

My wife pops like a cork when she goes into the water, turns on her back and just floats - I float like a brick.

 

I don't go near water where my arms can't be dry whilst standing. Klaar.
